Global markets rallied last week, with the MSCI AC World up 2.6%, bringing the YTD return to -11.2% as good progress in the ongoing US-China trade deal and the partial reopening of economics boosted sentiment. The Vix, a measure of investors’ expectations of short-term stock market volatility has pulled back sharply from the historic highs reached in March of this year, dropping to a level that’s 66% below its peak on 16 March.
